Stretching down the Chihuahuan landscape
is the Sierra Madre Occidental Mountain Range, one of the most
ecologically diverse areas in Mexico. It is home to as many as
100 species of oak trees, 20 species of pine and 30 percent of
Mexico’s land mammals can also be found here.
Copper Canyon is the principal natural attraction in the area
and rightly so. A journey into this rugged and inspiring terrain
is to experience one of the finest eco-adventures that Mexico
has to offer. The area offers everything from casual hiking to
mountain biking and horseback riding. Organized tours can be arranged
through a variety of tour operators both domestic and international.
